MORA Robust, First in the UK

I'm very happy to show you all the new Mora Robust and this is the first privately owned one in the UK, the others are only being sent out on Monday!
It's a big bruiser of a knife and a lot thicker than the Mora allround, coming in at 3.2mm thick! For those people who would rather batton than use an axe, this is an answer to your prayers!

  1. Nice knife, but I won't throw away any of my axes just yet. ;-)

    1. Wise move Gorges, a knife is no match for an axe in the right circumstances.

  2. I think that is going to be rather popular.

  3. Excellent! I always thought that a Mora with a thicker blade would be ideal, and finally arrived!

thank you very much for sharing

    1. Daniel, the only guy who has them at the minute is Tony from Moonraker knives, give him a call as they're going fast.

  4. I like the look of the older Mora with the wood handle, but I don't like the look of this one. Pitty they had to use a synthetic handle. I don't batton knives, personally think it is a dam silly thing to do to any knife, even this one.
Right tool for the job still holds with me. They want to split wood by battoning, get a froe.
    With respect & regards, Keith.

    1. A froe is one tool I don't own but I can certainly see it's worth, thanks for the input.

  6. It looks like a great knife. I bought the heavy duty hultafors knife for the tough jobs but I haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet. I prefere the mora handles and I like the fact that the blade is slightly thicker. I may have to invest soon.
